06 Data Visualisation
Passion Project
In 2016, I was tasked with creating a data visualization based on the iconic song "Wonderwall" by Oasis. This project delved into various elements of the song and music video, such as tracking how many times "Wonderwall" was mentioned in the lyrics and counting the use of spinning transitions in the video.
Printed at A0 size, the design became more than just a static piece.
Inspired by MTV aesthetics, I introduced an interactive component by cutting out a circle to mimic a turntable. The circle could be spun, adding a dynamic, tactile experience to the poster.
This interactivity not only visually represented the data but also signified the meticulous work behind it. At the time, without the aid of generative AI to expedite the data-gathering process, each detail was crafted manually. This was one of my favorite projects, as the spinning feature symbolized the effort and dedication I put into the work.
